If anything, I’ve moved backwards this year in critical ways. However, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s kind of like when you thoroughly clean a room – you offload everything from shelves, drawers, counters, etc. into a big heap in the middle of the room and then sort through what you need, what you can throw away, and what you can donate. When all is said and done you have a truly clean room with no cobwebs, unopened boxes or junk drawers.
My healing has begun with a mental cleanup of the cobwebs in the corners of my mind. It isn’t pretty, but it’s out there. So, my task for 2011 is to find places for all of the tidbits I’ve uncovered – some I will keep and file away, others will go in the trash and some may well be worth donating to someone who can use them.
