Warrilow & Co. is a site I visited to sign up for a newsletter (predictably named “Warrilow Weekly”) that is extremely useful for the target audience I am interested in at work. Their newsletters provide excellent insight into the mindset of the small business owner: one of my sources for knowing my user. But the signup process is cumbersome because the field labels live within the fields. What makes this so difficult is that if you delete what shows in the field in order to enter your own information – but get distracted and go back a few moments later – you may not remember what to enter in that field. Your only choice is to refresh the page and start over – losing any information you’ve already entered.
Check it out for yourself at: http://www.warrillow.com/weekly.htm If you’re interested in small business, sign up for the newsletter; it’s pretty good. But don’t say I didn’t warn you about the sign up form!
